Kim Son Village, located 100km from Hanoi, has been known for its straw weaving skills for centuries. If you visit Kim Son on a sunny day, you will see buckets of colorful fresh and dried straw materials everywhere: on the sides of the dikes, lawns, and even on the walls.
This is one of the traditional handicraft villages from the seventeenth century. Phu Vinh is famous for its unique handcrafts such as baskets, plates, tables, chairs, etc which are made by talent and creative artisans.
In each traditional village there are many workshops, the village has developed and built many establishments in the district to create jobs for 15 -20 workers, who can make hundreds to thousands of products a day, depending on items, size.
Passion and love with the traditional craft has been shown on every product of the craftsmen. Therefore, these products are popular in many countries around the world.

Many generations in the village have worked quietly to keep and uphold this long standing custom of making traditional conical hats. Obviously, you can easily buy a conical hat in other places; however, the products of Chuong village are still the best. Made from palm leaves from Quang Binh province, silk thread from Trieu Khuc village, and bamboo from Hoa Binh province, these hats are stunning and robust. You can use the conical hat to shelter from the rain and sun, as well as give it to your friends as a souvenir.
